Cross-functional teams

Ever since the adoption of agile methodologies, the hierarchical approach to business has shifted to a more collaborative approach. In the tech-focused world agile methods are implemented using component teams (i.e. UX, Dev, Business, Tester, etc.). An even more expansive way of collaborating is achieved with cross-functional teams.

According to Wikipedia, a cross-functional team is a group of people with different functional expertise working toward a common goal.
